Helping Our Community
The Ruth Newby Food Pantry is an outreach of the Lebanon First church of the Nazarene. We help others in our church and in the community who need food to feed their families.
IMPORTANT FOOD PANTRY UPDATES:
Items are needed for the food pantry. Please help out any way that you can. Items needed most are:
- FRESH MEAT
- CANNED MEAT
- PAPER GOODS such as paper towels, toilet paper, kleenex, etc.
- BOXED FOODS such as potato sides, pasta sides, Mac 'n Cheese, etc
- Please no Hamburger Helper at this time.
Food Pantry Hours:
Two Saturdays per month - 10am to Noon; Call the church for information
How can I get food if I need it?
Anyone who is in need of food for their family whether they are a part of the church or part of our community can get the food they need. If you are in need of food the food pantry is open on many Saturday mornings. Please contact the church for more information about times and to make sure the pantry is open before you visit.
How can I participate in helping this ministry?
You can help out in any way. Food Donations are always accepted. Please consult the list above for needed items. From Time to time this list may be updated as needs change. You can also give monetarily. Please write 'Food Pantry' on the memo line of your check or giving envelope. You can also donate your time. Your assistance in receiving and distributing food Food distributions, Stocking and Storing all helps. Call Pat Clevenger if you would like to help.
Most Importantly, Please pray. Prayer is a very important part of this ministry, and we appreciate you remembering this ministry in your prayers. Please pray that God would use this ministry to reach out to thise in need, that He use it to bring the 'Good News' of Jesus Christ to those that desparately need it, and that He would bless this ministry and allow it to grow.
