The Alpha House
A Place of New Beginnings
The Alpha House is a ministry outreach of the Lebanon First Church of the Nazarene. The Alpha House, A place of New Beginnings, will be officially dedicated on Sunday April 19th, 2009. Included in this facility are the 'Howe Meeting Room' which is provided for the use of our youth ministry and special groups. Additionally, our Short term housing facility will provide needed shelter for a family temporarily displaced in an emergency situation. The Alpha house is also the home of the 'Ruth Newby Food Pantry' that will be stocked with supplies that can help provide members of the church and our community in their time of need.
Renovation
The Alpha House underwent a complete renovation, including a smaller outbuilding in the back that is now known as the 'Klub NAZ', which is being used by the youth ministry. Most of the renovation, aside from painting and re-roofing, took place on the inside of the building and included the installation of new fixtures and conversion of the rooms to their new purpose. This house was once a single family dwelling and now has been transformed into a new outreach center providing the community with several new ministries from Youth, to Celebrate Recovery, to the Food Pantry and Emergency Housing. Below is a gallery of pictures taken showing the completed Alpha house and some photos while under construction.
What Can You Do?
First of all thank you for your support and help in making the Alpha House a reality. As the many ministries that will use this facility get started we will need your help and support. Donations to the food pantry will be needed as we plan to serve people who have needs in the community. As needs arise, announcements during weekly services will be made to let you know of these needs. We hope that you will support this blossoming ministry and help make it a success. Thank you.
